Wear a name badge. Dress appropriately.
-
Introduce yourself and what your business does clearly and concisely.

-
Re-introduce yourself instead of waiting for others to remember your name.
Focus when people are introduced so you can remember them and their names.
-
Make notations on the back of business cards you receive to jog your memory
later.
-
Acknowledge others for their assistance. Call or send thank you notes or a gift
for referrals (or other helpful gestures).
-
Become comfortable promoting yourself and your business.
-
Follow up promptly on leads you receive. Return all telephone calls within 24
hours.
-
Provide quality referrals for others when possible. Practice asking "Who do you
know who...?"
